Gunplay
The practitioner of Gunplay takes an ordinary pistol, and turns it into art. They can perform seemingly impossible flourishes that can amaze crowds, or put people in their graves.
Trick Shot
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn to perform powerful Trick Shots to disable or confuse your opponents using your firearms.
Trick shot save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier
You gain access to the following trick shots
Disarming Shot
When you make a firearm attack against a creature, you can expend one grit point to attempt to shoot an object from their hands. On a hit, the creature suffers normal damage and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or drop 1 held object of your choice and have that object be pushed 10 feet away from you.
Dazing Shot
When you make a firearm attack against a creature, you can expend one grit point to attempt to dizzy your opponent. On a hit, the creature suffers normal damage and must make a Constitution saving throw or has disadvantage on attack rolls.
Winging Shot
When you make a firearm attack against a creature, you can expend one grit point to attempt to topple the target. On a hit, the creature suffers normal damage and must make a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Deadly Gunplay
At 7th level, you trick shot skills become much more lethal, along side the previous trick shots, you now also have access to the following
Piercing Shot
When you make a firearm attack against a creature, you can expend one grit point to attempt to fire through multiple opponents.
The initial attack gains a +1 to the firearm’s misfire score. On a hit, the creature suffers normal damage and you make an attack roll with disadvantage against each creature in a straight line extending directly away from you through the original target within your first range increment. Only the initial attack can misfire.
Violent Shot
When you make a firearm attack against a creature, you can expend one or more grit points to enhance the volatility of the attack.
For each grit point expended, the attack gains a +2 to the firearm’s misfire score. If the attack hits, you can roll one additional weapon damage die per grit point spent when determining the damage.
Ricochet
At 10th level, you can bounce bullets of everyday objects to hit opponents out of reach. You can bounce a shot off a single object while attacking, or using a trick shot to target a creature that you cannot normally target because of cover or lack of a direct line of sight. Ricochets after the first require you to spend a grit point and you roll with disadvantage.
Superior Grit
Starting at 15th level,When you roll initiative, if you have fewer Grit points remaining than your proficiency bonus, you regain 1 expended Grit point, up to your maximum.
Legendary Gunplay
At 18th level, when you make a firearm attack, you can use two of your Trick Shot options as part of the same attack, provided you can pay the Grit cost for both.
This can also include a ricochet that costs a grit point.
